7th May 2023 - Fishing Report W/E 07/05/23
The weather this week has been quite cold for the anglers, the winds made the fish a ‘little picky’. Although the weather has been cold there has been some top angling here at Thrunton. Towards the end of the week we saw some brilliant top of the water sport.
· Ken Glenton fished dries and buzzers to land 16 fish on Long Crag
· J. Jarvis netted 5 using top hats on Long Crag
· M. Hall caught 15 fish using cdcs and top hats on Long Crag over a couple visits
· D. Hedley landed 8 on dries on Long Crag
· T. Barclay fished various apps to land himself 22 fish on his float tube
· Joe Jobling caught 8 fish with various flies on Long Crag
· Mark Nelson netted 5 fish on yellow eggs up on Coe Crag
· Jim Burtle fished dries to land himself 7 fish down on Long Crag
· Rob Hall caught 14 fish up on Coe Crag using top hats over a couple of visits
· S. Mole netted 7 fish on Long Crag using various flies
· Chris Guthrie also fished various flies to land himself 9 fish on Long Crag
· Pete landed 11 fish using dries and emergers on Long Crag
· R. Wilson caught 11 fish on Long Crag fishing various flies
· Tom netted 8 fish using shipmans fishing off various points on Long Crag
· Ray Wilson fished buzzers on numerous pegs to land himself 5 fish on Long Crag
· D. Milligan netted 10 fish using a mix of flies on Long Crag
· Ian Santos caught 13 fish on a mix of pegs on Long Crag using a mix of lures and bloodworms
· Geoff Huscroft released 14 fish on Long Crag using foam beetles on Long Crag
· T. Barclay fished an olive apps worm and finished with 19 fish to net on Long Crag
