10th Oct 2021 - Fishing Report w/e 10th October 2021
Please Note: Coe Crag is fully booked on Saturday 16th October for a group visit. Long Crag lake will remain open as usual. Apologies for any inconvenience caused to our anglers.
It was great to see a good amount of fresh water hit the lakes over Monday night and into Tuesday, it gave all of the lakes a good boost, and both of the fly lakes still have excellent clarity.
Fish have still been getting caught in the top few feet of water, even when they've been taken on lures.
Buzzers, Dries and Small Nymphs have been very productive this week, especially when the fish have been feeding just subsurface.
We held our Troutmasters Fish-off this weekend, it was great to see a mixture of seniors and juniors fishing the 6 hour competition. Kris Munro won the Seniors section and Ryan Foggon won the junior section, both Kris and Ryan will be representing Thrunton in the Finals.

- Trevor Wadds landed 19 fish between both lakes using Lures and Apps Bloodworms
- Stew Younger used Dries to safely return 12 fish from Long Crag
- Owen Palmer landed 7 fish from Long Crag also using Dries
- Richard Churchyard landed 7 fish from Long Crag using Buzzers
- Rob Hall landed 19 fish from Long Crag using Bunny leaches, over two visits
- Tommy Mark landed 19 fish between both lakes using Dries over two visits
- Mick Brown landed 20 fish from Long Crag using Dries and Buzzers
- N. Hudson landed 11 fish between both lakes using PTN's and Wicked White Buzzers
- Terry Toner landed 12 fish over two visits using Diawl Bach's and Dries
- Ken Glenton landed 14 fish from Long Crag using Dries and Buzzers
- Chris Connel safely returned 13 fish using Apps Bloodworms and Buzzers
- Richard Palframan netted 14 fish using Dries and Black Lures
- D. Rylatt landed 12 fish using Buzzers
- Andrew Lee landed 8 fish from Long Crag using PTN's and Hares Ears
- Geoff Huscroft landed 8 fish between both lakes using Black Lures
- Matty Devine safely released 20 fish to Long Crag using Dries, Bloodworm and the 'assasin'
- Ian Santos landed 23 fish over two visits using Bloodworms and the 'assasin'
- Gary Surtees returned 13 fish to Long Crag using Dries and Buzzers
- J. Harrison landed 15 fish using Dries, Buzzers and FAB's
- Bill McCarroll landed 13 fish from Coe Crag using Wicked White Buzzers
- Davy Jordan landed 13 fish from Long Crag using Buzzers, Cats and Hares Ears
