11th Apr 2021 - Fishing Report w/e 11th April 2021
Another week with a mixture of weather has given the anglers the opportunity to fish a huge variety of flies and still have some good success. Buzzers, Dries, Small PTN's and Damsels have taken some good bag numbers this week. A milder week of weather is forecast, so we should continue to see some good numbers of fish on the surface during the milder spells.
The Chopwell Chancers visited the fishery on Saturday and enjoyed and action-packed day with all of the 42 members catching fish and the majority bagging up.
John Renshaw placed first with the heaviest bag weighing in at 19lb, John also took the heaviest fish weighing in at 12lb 6oz. Dean Gribbin took second place with a bag weight of 16lb 10oz (Biggest fish at 9lb 6oz). Joint third place went to Richard Cook and Stu Blakey with 12lb 12oz bag weight. It was also great to see 12 year old Theo catch three fish on his first ever try at fly fishing, Well done Theo!!
A big thank you to Anthony Meadows for organising the event, and thanks to all of the members for turning up to make it such and enjoyable day.
