16th Oct 2022 - Fishing Report w/e 16th October 2022
As we have moved into the middle of October, we have noticed a real improvement in the catches this week. Fish are still feeding high in the water column, so mainly Nymphs, Buzzers and Lures fished in the top 4 feet of water have been accounting for the better bag numbers this week. Anglers have been reporting some good fish in the region of 5 to 8lb, and some anglers manging to land fish up to 15lb.
Special mention to Brodie who landed his first ever fish this week while having a lesson with Bob Smith, caught using a floating line and Gold Ribbed Hares Ear and weighed a very impressive 5lb 1oz.
We’d like to say a big thank you to all of our anglers, family members and friends who have supported our fund raising this year. We’ve raised a very impressive £2210.30 in aid of Breast Cancer.
Also, a big thanks must go everyone who has donated prizes, including The Hardys Store, Fulling Milland all of our anglers.

- Michael Hall returned 10 fish to Long Crag using Cormorants
- Paul Allen netted 12 fish from Long Crag using Blue Flash Damsels
- Jordan Firby landed 12 fish from Coe Crag using Diawl Bach's, Apps and Dabblers
- David & Joe Camsell landed 10 fish between them using Beetles, Hoppers and Whiskey Fly
- Grant Hughes safely released 9 fish between both lakes using Buzzers and Hoppers
- Jimmy Drew landed 16 fish from Coe Crag using Damsels and Bunny Leaches
- Steven Mole landed 11 fish from Long Crag over two visits
- Tony Rowley released 13 fish to Long Crag using Diawl Bach's and FAB's
- Tony Barclay netted 12 fish from Long Crag while float tubing, mainly taken on Hares Ears
- Brian Burdis landed 7 fish between both lakes using Dries and Bung Flies, Best fish just under 10lb
- Trevor Wadds landed 11 fish from Long Crag using Diawl Bach's and Bloodworms
- Mick Brown landed 20 fish from Long Crag using Lures, Best fish was a 9lb Rainbow
- Paul Ryder landed 10 fish between both lakes using Lures and Nymphs
- John Williams used Buzzers to return 20 fish to Coe Crag over two visits
- Steve Noble landed 16 fish from Long Crag using Cats Whiskers and Dries
- Steven Knight safely returned 13 fish to Long Crag using FAB's and Damsels
- M. Rackham landed 12 fish using Cormorants and Diawl Bach's, Best fish at 10lb
- Gary Douglas landed 6 fish from Coe Crag, best fish at 15lb
- S. Dargon landed 16 fish from Long Crag using Floating Fry Patterns
- Steve Wellings landed 13 fish from Coe Crag using Apps, Buzzers, Diawl Bach's and Blobs
