Weather wise it was a cold wet and breezy start to the week with anglers having to work hard for their fish, but as we neared the weekend we seen a vast improvement in temperature and conditions triggering some good hatches and plenty fish moving in the surface, on Sunday we held round 2 of the UK Trout Fishing Open competition with 15 anglers looking to Qualify for the Grand final in November and the £3,000 prize pot.

Through to the final are.. Peter Appleby. Josh Piper. Davy Parker. Brian Lillie. And Stephen Fish. Top rod was Glen Appleby with 21 fish for 27 points who had already qualified but won the greys Reel. Well done to all who took part.
