Despite the changeable weather and cooler winds blowing in from the East, plenty of fish are still being landed from both lakes with small buzzers and dries being the most successful. Although some lures fished deeper worked well when the conditions changed and the buzzers weren’t hatching off. On Sunday we Held Heat 4 of the UK Flyfishing Championship. 1^st place was David Parker. 2^nd place Dan Wilkinson 3^rd Gary Pye. 4^th Ed Taylor and 5^th Josh Piper. Well done to all that entererd.

• Trevor Wadds netted 6 on lures fished deep from Long Crag
• Spike Millican from Blyth also landed 6 on various flies
• Alec Harvey brought 11 to the net on a mixture of patterns
• Peter Appleby enjoyed his day landing 20 on various dries
• Garry Pye also netted 20 on dries and apps worms
• Alan Burdis had a good day landing 10 on dries, buzzers and an egg from both lakes
• Bill McCarroll also used dries and buzzers to tempt 9 to the net
• M. McKenzie netted 11 from Coe Crag on amber bloodworm and olive dries
• David Todd used various dries to land 12 from Long Crag
• Paul Mallerburn landed 8 from Coe Crag on various flies
• John Jarvis and Steve Mole had 18 between them on small dries, emergers and buzzers
• Guy Nicholson and Greg Lewins brought 16 to the net on dries and buzzers with Guy netting a 10lb+ rainbow
• Ken Glenton used small black beetles and buzzers to land 12 from Long Crag
• Brian Davis and his son enjoyed their day landing 18 on cries from both lakes
• West Woodburn’s Ray Wood brought 7 to the net on Top hat buzzers
• Paul Thomson netted 8 from Coe Crag on buzzers and dries
• Bill Mccarroll returned 9 to Long Crag using Dries and Buzzers
• David murray released 13 over both lakes using lures.
• Chris Guthrie returned 8 to Long Crag using Dries.
• Lee Masterman returned 6 over Both Lakes using Shipmans and Shammies.
• Stu Ward also returned 6 over both lakes.
• C Cowan released 20 on Long Crag using Buzzers Dries and eggs.
• Connor Metcalf returned 16 and Lee Wilkinson retuned13 over both lakes using a Mixture of flies.

• Craig Auchinachi returned 6 and kept 2 on Long Crag using Fluff Cats.

• Paul Rider released 15 over both lakes using buzzers and Diawl Bach’s.

• Ross Calder retuned 7 over both lakes using Various Flies.
