2nd Jan 2022 - Fishing Report w/e 2nd January 2022

Mild and windy weather has dominated this week, which has kept the fish relatively high in the water considering the time of year. On the odd occasion the wind dropped off, anglers had the option of some good dry fly sport, not what most were expecting as we are now into January. Floating and Intermediate lines have been the choice of the past week, and fish coming to a variety of methods. Apps Bloodworms and Diawl Bach's being the most productive flies. Fish into the double figures have been landed again this week, James Carr landed a Rainbow which was weighed in the net at 10lb 9oz followed by another just under 10lb.
- Steven Fish landed 12 fish between both lakes using Shammys, Squirmys and Eggstacy
- Michael Hall landed 20 fish from Long Crag using Buzzers, Bloodworms and Eggs over two visits
- Mick Kelly landed 18 fish from Long Crag over two visits using Bloodworms and Diawl Bach's
- Derek Johnson landed 9 fish from Coe Crag using Green and Red Holographic Diawl Bach's
- Bob Bell returned 9 fish to Long Crag using Eggstacy
- Davy Jordan used Apps Bloodworms to return 8 fish to Long Crag
- Owen Ibbeston returned 9 fish to Long Crag using Eggs
- John Renshaw landed 14 fish from Long Crag using Bloodworms
- Gary Knox returned 12 fish over two short visits this week using Cats Whiskers and Dawsons Olives
- Mick Brown landed 11 fish from Long Crag using Lures, best fish was a 9lb Rainbow
- Steve Noble landed 7 fish from Coe Crag using Black Lures
- Jed Armstrong landed 7 fish from Long Crag using Apps Bloodworms and Blobs
- Martin Gaffney landed 17 fish over two visits this week, Fish coming to Damsel Patterns
- Andy Keenan returned 10 fish during a morning session, caught using Apps Bloodworms and Shammys
- James Carr used Damsels to return 12 fish to Long Crag
- Ken Glenton used a Mixture of flies to return 13 fish to Long Crag
- Tony Looney landed 7 fish from Coe Crag using a mixture of flies
- David Spark used Apps Bloodworms and buzzers to return 8 fish between both lakes
- Ken Ward landed 6 fish from Long Crag using a Beady
- Tony Barclay landed 6 fish from Long Crag while float tubing, fish taken on Bloodworms
