Anglers had to work hard for their fish at the beginning of the week with the cold northerly breeze and showers putting fish a bit deeper. By Thursday the wind had dropped and although still cold there was a good hatch around lunch time with both lakes seeing plenty fish on the surface top hats were the order of the day and many anglers who adopted this method had some cracking sport. Still some nice fish reported coming to the net with Gary Hester landing a pb brown and Gary Knox landing a rainbow over 10lb on Coe Crag.
