6th Mar 2022 - Fishing Report w/e 6th March 2022
A massive improvement in the weather this week has really brought the fish up in the water column. Anglers have achieved some excellent sport on Buzzers and Dries, with some reporting 'savage buzzer takes' and 'superb dry fly action'. Another decent forecast for the week ahead, should continue to allow for some superb sport. It was good to see members from The Northumbrian Water Fishing Club visit on Sunday, some excellent fish were caught between them. Fishing For Heroes also visited mid-week, despite a cold north wind, some great fish were still being caught. Thanks to Lucy Bowden & Paul West for organising and running the day.
- Steve Kelly returned 10 fish between both lakes using Cat Bugs and Diawl Bach's
- Alan Morton safely released 12 fish to Long Crag using Bloodworms and Cats Whiskers
- Ken Glenton landed 30 fish over two visits this week using Buzzers and Bloodworms
- Matty Devine landed 15 fish from Long Crag using Buzzers
- Ian Santos landed 33 fish over two visits this week using Buzzers and Bloodworms
- Rob Hall landed 40 fish over two visits mainly using Buzzers and Yellow Dancers
- Roger Wilson landed 14 fish between both lakes using Buzzers and Squirmys
- Michael Hall safely returned 30 fish over two visits using Buzzers
- Paul Snaith landed 20 fish from Long Crag using Apps Bloodworms
- Josh Piper landed 8 fish from Coe Crag using Lures
- T & E. Looney landed 17 fish between them using Apps and Squirmys
- Dean Gribbin landed 8 fish from Long Crag using Bloodworms and Buzzers
- Mick Kelly used Diawl Bach's and Emergers to return 17 fish to Long Crag
- Steven Fish landed 13 fish between both lakes using a mixture of flies
- Howard Croston landed 20 fish between both lakes suing Buzzers
- Davy Parker also used Buzzers to safely return 17 fish to Long Crag
- Stewart Younger returned 15 fish over both lakes using Cormorants and Diawl Bach's
- Dave Boland used Buzzers and Eggstacy Worms to return 15 fish to Long Crag
