Summer 2022 Junior Fishing Sessions:Weare holding a number of two hour fly fishing sessions for juniors of all abilities over the school holidays. Sessions will run from 11am to 1pm. The cost is £20 per session, and all equipment can be provided within this price, if needed. Dates are:Wednesday 10thAugust, Wednesday 17thAugust and Wednesday 24thAugust. Fishing conditions haven't been the easiest this week, mainly due to the bright and windy weather that has dominated most of this week. Diawl Bach's fished either on the 'washing line' or 'straight lined' have been fairly productive this week. Daddies and Klinkhammer's have provided some good sport, especially on the windy days. We held another one of our Junior Fly fishing sessions on Wednesday, we had a great turn out and the majority of the junior getting takes, and a total of 4 fish being caught.
- Bill McCrorie landed 6 fish between both lakes using Diawl Bach's
- Paul Mallaburn netted 6 fish from Coe Crag using CDC's and Black Beetles
- Tony Barclay landed 11 fish while float tubing, mainly using Cormorants
- Steven Mole landed 21 fish from Long Crag over two visits using Black Beetles, Buzzers and Diawl Bach's
- Rob Hall landed 5 fish from Long Crag using Top Hats
- Grant Hughes netted 5 fish from Long Crag using Buzzers and CDC's
- Mick Brown landed 11 fish from Long Crag using Lures and Buzzers
- Geoff Huscroft used Daddies to return 5 fish to Long Crag
- John Jervis landed 6 fish from Long Crag using Daddies
- Bob Bell landed 6 fish from Long Crag using Shipmans
- Ross Calder landed 7 fish from Long Crag using Shammys, Devine Dancers and Buzzers
- Ken Glenton returned 8 fish to Long Crag
- Bill McCarroll used CDC F Flys to return 7 fish to Long Crag
- Andy Keenan released 5 fish between both lakes suing Blobs and Black Lures
- Kevin Dinning used Nymphs to return 7 fish to Long Crag
- Spike Millican safely released 5 fish to Long Crag using Nymphs
- Trevor Wadds landed 12 fish from Long Crag using Diawl Bach's
- D. Long landed 10 fish from Long Crag using Black Diawl Bach's
