9th Jan 2022 - Fishing Report w/e 9th January 2022
As a freezing blast of weather hit at the beginning part of the week, anglers found the conditions rather perishing. Fish have still been getting caught in the top 6ft of water, and when the conditions allowed at the end of the week anglers were given the option of some dry fly sport, though nymphs and Lures fished sub surface have taken the majority of the fish. It was good to see members of the Ladhope Angling Club visit the fishery at the weekend, all members caught fish on a variety of methods.
Wonderful to see a Kingfisher at the fishery again this year, a few anglers have reported seeing it feeding on the sticklebacks on the lake, so hopefully it hangs around.
